Job Summary:

The Inside Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and growing a team of inside sales representatives, driving sales strategies, and ensuring the team meets and exceeds sales targets. This individual will also play a key role in refining sales processes, coaching team members, and collaborating with marketing and product teams to optimize the sales pipeline. The ideal candidate is a data-driven sales leader with strong SaaS experience and a proven ability to lead and inspire a sales team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Management: Manage, coach, and mentor a team of inside sales representatives, ensuring they meet or exceed individual and team sales quotas.

Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth, improve lead conversion rates, and ensure pipeline consistency.

Performance Management: Set clear performance metrics (e.g., leads, conversions, deals closed), track progress, and provide ongoing feedback to the team to maximize performance.

Coaching & Development: Conduct regular training sessions and one-on-one coaching with team members to improve sales skills, product knowledge, and lead conversion techniques.

Pipeline Management: Ensure the inside sales team is managing a consistent and healthy sales pipeline by effectively qualifying leads, following up on inbound inquiries, and managing outbound prospecting efforts.

CRM & Data Optimization: Ensure accurate and up-to-date data entry in the CRM (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), and provide regular reports and analysis on team performance, sales forecasts, and pipeline health.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing and product teams to align sales efforts with campaigns, messaging, and product developments. Provide feedback on market trends, customer needs, and product improvements.

Sales Process Improvement: Continuously review and refine the inside sales processes, including lead qualification, outreach, and follow-up techniques, to improve conversion rates and team efficiency.

Recruitment & Onboarding: Support the hiring and onboarding of new inside sales representatives to ensure they are fully trained and ramp up quickly.

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 3-5 years of experience in inside sales, sales development, or a related role, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or management position within a B2B SaaS environment.

• Proven track record of managing a successful inside sales team that consistently meets or exceeds sales targets.

• Strong understanding of the SaaS sales cycle, lead generation, and pipeline management.

• Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales engagement platforms (e.g., Outreach, SalesLoft).

• Excellent leadership, communication, and motivational skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team.

• Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.

 

Preferred Skills:

• Experience selling SaaS products to mid-market or enterprise clients.

• Familiarity with sales methodologies such as Solution Selling, Challenger Sales, or SPIN Selling.

• Experience managing teams in a remote or hybrid work environment.
