A fast-growing robotics software company, backed by a solid Series A round and working alongside industry leaders such as Boston Dynamics, Google, and Erikson is scaling its engineering team as demand for its platform continues to accelerate.

Their technology enables seamless integration between robotics, AI, and cloud infrastructure -powering large-scale, real-world automation across global industries.

They are now looking for a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to take ownership of system architecture and help evolve a cloud-native platform that supports high-performance, distributed robotics workloads. This role goes beyond traditional DevOps, focusing on system design, scalability, and long-term architectural decisions.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading the design and evolution of scalable, cloud-native architectures across multi-cloud environments
  • Driving improvements in system reliability, performance, and long-term adaptability
  • Designing and implementing event-driven systems using tools like RabbitMQ and Kafka
  • Defining strategies for service versioning, routing, and backward compatibility
  • Managing database migrations and ensuring zero-downtime changes across distributed systems
  • Building and integrating services within Kubernetes-based environments
  • Developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, and Helm
  • Collaborating closely with engineering teams across robotics, AI, frontend, and platform
  • Identifying architectural bottlenecks and making forward-looking technical decisions
  • Contributing to backend services and APIs where needed

 

What They’re Looking For

  • Strong background in software engineering with DevOps experience
  • Proven experience designing distributed systems and cloud architectures
  • Deep understanding of event-driven architecture and messaging patterns (Pub/Sub, CQRS, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar technologies
  • Solid experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience managing API design, service evolution, and system compatibility
  • Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and migration strategies
  • Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs and anticipate future scaling challenges
