Job Summary:
The Strategic Account Executive will be responsible for developing and closing large, complex sales opportunities with enterprise and strategic accounts. This role requires a combination of sales acumen, consultative selling, and the ability to foster relationships at the executive level. You will identify opportunities to solve client challenges, drive digital transformation, and position our SaaS solutions as critical components of the customer’s success. Your role will include working cross-functionally with product, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure client satisfaction and long-term retention.
Key Responsibilities:
• Account Acquisition: Identify, pursue, and close new enterprise and strategic accounts, focusing on high-value opportunities that align with company growth objectives.
• Consultative Selling: Engage with senior-level decision-makers to understand their business challenges, demonstrate the value of our SaaS solutions, and position the company as a strategic partner.
• Pipeline Management: Build and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities by prospecting, networking, and leveraging industry connections. Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline reporting in the CRM.
• Client Relationship Management: Develop and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and maintaining a high level of client satisfaction throughout the sales cycle.
• Revenue Growth: Achieve and exceed sales quotas by closing large, complex deals and expanding existing client relationships through upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
• Negotiation & Deal Closing: Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and terms agreement with potential clients, ensuring mutually beneficial partnerships.
• Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including product, marketing, and customer success, to ensure alignment on customer needs and smooth onboarding after deal closure.
• Market Insights: Stay informed on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to tailor messaging and sales strategies to client-specific challenges and opportunities.
• Account Strategy Development: Create strategic account plans for high-value clients to drive engagement and growth, ensuring long-term value for both the company and the customer.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5-7 years of experience in SaaS sales or enterprise sales, with a proven track record of closing large, complex deals and exceeding revenue targets.
• Strong experience selling to C-level executives and decision-makers within enterprise accounts.
• Proven ability to manage long sales cycles and complex buying processes in a B2B SaaS environment.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex solutions in a clear, compelling way.
• Results-driven with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for achieving sales goals.
• Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales tools.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience selling SaaS products to enterprise and mid-market clients.
• Familiarity with specific verticals or industries relevant to the company’s product offerings.
• Knowledge of sales methodologies such as Solution Selling, Challenger Sales, or Value Selling.
