We are looking for a highly technical and customer-focused Sales Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the sales organization, you will play an essential role in driving revenue by working closely with the sales team to understand customer needs, demonstrate the value of our products, and provide technical expertise during the sales process.

 

Job Summary:

The Sales Engineer will partner with Account Executives and Sales teams to support pre-sales activities, including product demonstrations, technical presentations, and solution design. The ideal candidate will have a blend of strong technical skills, communication abilities, and a passion for solving customer problems with SaaS solutions. You will act as the technical expert, helping customers understand how our products can address their specific needs and ensuring successful onboarding and implementation.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team during the pre-sales process, providing technical insights, solution design, and product demonstrations tailored to prospective customers’ needs.

Product Demonstrations: Lead detailed, customized product demonstrations, showing potential customers how our SaaS solutions address their specific business challenges and fit into their existing workflows.

Solution Design: Understand customer requirements and create tailored SaaS solution architectures that integrate with existing systems and solve customer pain points.

Technical Presentations: Prepare and deliver technical presentations that effectively communicate product features, benefits, and technical capabilities to both technical and non-technical audiences.

RFP/RFI Responses: Assist with technical components of requests for proposals (RFPs) and requests for information (RFIs), ensuring accurate and compelling responses.

Customer Success Support: Work with the Customer Success and implementation teams post-sale to ensure smooth onboarding and deployment, and ensure technical feasibility throughout the process.

Product Expertise: Maintain deep knowledge of our SaaS platform, including new features and upcoming developments, to serve as the go-to technical resource for customers and internal teams.

Objection Handling: Address technical objections and challenges raised by prospects, providing clear and concise answers to technical questions and guiding them through any product limitations.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product, engineering, and customer success teams to ensure customer feedback is communicated effectively and product enhancements are prioritized accordingly.

Technical Enablement: Help train the sales team on product capabilities and technical selling techniques, enabling them to better articulate product value propositions to prospects.

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 3-5 years of experience in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or similar role within a B2B SaaS company.

• Strong understanding of SaaS platforms, cloud-based technologies, and software development concepts (APIs, integrations, etc.).

• Proven ability to translate technical concepts into business value and articulate solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Hands-on experience with CRM and sales tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).

• Experience working with cross-functional teams and engaging with prospects at different stages of the sales cycle.

• Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset.

 

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in a technical role within a SaaS environment, ideally supporting enterprise-level clients.

• Familiarity with programming languages or development environments is a plus (e.g., Python, JavaScript, SQL).

• Knowledge of networking, security, or data management systems.

• Technical certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) are a plus.
