Field CTO (Chief Technology Officer)

About the Role

We are looking for a visionary Field CTO to join our leadership team and act as a strategic technical advisor to our most critical prospects, customers, and partners. As Field CTO, you’ll bridge the gap between our cutting-edge SaaS product and the technical needs of our clients, playing a pivotal role in pre-sales engagements, customer success, product feedback, and go-to-market strategy.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, business strategy, and customer relationships—someone who can speak fluently to both CTOs and C-level business leaders.

 

What You’ll Do

Partner with Sales & Customer Success: Support pre-sales conversations with strategic customers, translating technical capabilities into business value.

Act as Technical Evangelist: Represent the company’s technical vision to customers, partners, analysts, and at industry events.

Solution Design: Collaborate with clients to architect scalable, secure, and effective solutions based on our platform.

Product Feedback Loop: Serve as the voice of the customer to influence product strategy, roadmap priorities, and feature development.

Thought Leadership: Create and deliver whitepapers, webinars, and conference presentations to strengthen the company’s credibility in the market.

Drive Complex Sales: Assist in navigating long, technical sales cycles, especially in regulated or enterprise environments.

Support GTM Alignment: Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Engineering to ensure GTM success and technical alignment.

 

What We’re Looking For

• 8+ years in a senior technical role (e.g. Solutions Architect, Principal Engineer, VP Engineering, CTO)

• Experience in a B2B SaaS company, ideally with complex or technical buyers (e.g. security, infrastructure, data, DevOps, AI)

• Deep understanding of enterprise architecture, SaaS deployment models, APIs, integrations, and security

• Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

• Experience engaging with senior stakeholders (CIOs, CTOs, CISOs) at mid-market to enterprise level

• Strong commercial acumen with experience in supporting sales cycles and customer engagements

• Willingness to travel for customer meetings, events, and speaking engagements (if applicable)
