Business Development Manager

Strive are currently partnered with an early-stage startup in the E-Commerce space who are looking for a Business Development Manager in London.

Their mission is to enable anyone to materialize any consumer purchase on their doorstep with negligible cost and environmental impact.

Operating a warehouse-to-door delivery network purpose-built to scale to the demands of e-commerce. Our network lets the most important e-commerce retailers in the UK (and one day, the world) deliver faster, more affordably, and with a smaller carbon footprint than any major delivery network in the developed world.

 

About the Role

  • End-to-end sales from prospecting to close and everything in between
  • Identify potential leads through field-based sales and cold calling within London
  • Manage leads through sales pipeline by identifying key decision makers, setting appointments, following up on leads, and tracking progress toward meeting sales goals
  • Ensure smooth onboarding of any new clients, working with other parts of the business
  • Collaborate with the rest of the team to develop strategies for achieving sales targets
  • Collate feedback from the field to help our product and research team understand better our client's needs and improve our value proposition

 

Requirements

  • Must be happy to spend over 75% of the working week in the field
  • Must be comfortable with face-to-face selling
  • 2-3 years experience in sales, preferably with a high volume of accounts
  • Strong verbal and communication skills and excellent negotiation skills
  • Hunter mentality
  • Can build relationships easily and quickly with potential customers/clients
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in a startup is a plus
